Endorsement Support Technician

Founded in 1994, Horizon Consulting Incorporated provides loan quality control and appraisal services to HUD and other government agencies. Horizon seeks a dynamic Endorsement Support Technician to support our mortgage quality assurance business at Horizon’s Santa Ana California location. The successful candidate will conduct a compliance audit of case binders on Federal Housing Administration loans to ensure compliance with government agency and/or federal regulations. The Endorsement Support Technician receives and logs case binder information into the FHA Connection. This individual facilitates case binders though the endorsement process by creating labels and logs into FHA Connection.

This position requires an organized, self motivated, task driven individual with a passion for detail whose underlying principles are honesty, integrity, hard work and professionalism. This position requires the ability and desire to work in a team environment. This position maintains contractual compliance by ensuring that statement of work tasks are performed only at the HOC. The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or GED required, BA/BS in Business Administration or related field preferred. At least 1 year of professional experience in mortgage banking, auditing, proofreading, or lending. Employee must be able to access files, supplies and equipment; sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; consistently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; talk, see and hear. Position may require employee to travel to other client sites as necessary.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Knowledge of current legislative updates and activities within the mortgage industry
  • Possession of working knowledge of mail processes such as UPS, Federal Express, Courier, Scheduled Express, and the US Post Office
  • Proficient in Data Entry (i.e. alpha-numeric, 10 key or other related fields)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Applies principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Works on multiple tasks simultaneously with regular interruptions
  • Works professionally using courtesy and tact with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone, and in writing
  • Completes tasks effectively within a reasonable amount of time
  • Follows and applies specific rules and regulations
  • Proactively acknowledges when there is a problem
  • Actively looks for ways to help people
  • Works with minimal supervision

Floater/On-Call Temp

Founded in 1994, Horizon Consulting Incorporated provides loan quality control and appraisal services to HUD and other government agencies. Horizon seeks a dynamic Floater/On-Call Temp to support our mortgage quality assurance business. The Floater is assigned to contracts to support bandwidth and contract compliance and can be assigned a myriad of tasks to meet this objective.

The responsibilities could include: conducting a compliance audit of case binders on Federal Housing Administration loans to ensure compliance with government agency and/or federal regulations; determining whether case binders are in compliance with the HUD checklist; endorsing files or returning non-compliant case binders to the lender; receiving and logging case binder information into the FHA Connection and facilitating case binders though the endorsement process by creating labels and logs into FHA Connection. The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or GED required, BA/BS in Business Administration or related field preferred. At least 1 year of professional experience in mortgage banking, auditing, proofreading, or lending. Employee must be able to access files, supplies and equipment; sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; consistently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; talk, see and hear. Position may require employee to travel to other client sites as necessary. Work is performed in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful, professional office environment with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud. Position requires employee to effectively use a computer at a workstation for long periods of time and to accommodate frequent interruptions. Employee may need to move from one work location to another occasionally. The position includes varying levels of public contact and requires appropriate business apparel.
