Letter From the President
Visions, Fall 2011

I sat this morning for almost two hours and could not come up with my Letter to you for this issue. I never want to force it, just want it to flow freely from my heart to yours. At this moment, this very moment, I am so happy and full of joy---for this moment! I am grateful for every day I have been blessed to live and breathe and have my being. The colors of this season are bright and vibrant and although the leaves are falling off the trees and the temperature has dropped into the thirties—I smile because another season is reminding us that it will only be around for another four to five weeks so enjoy while it’s here. My business partner is in the next office and I am grateful for our seasons together. Horizon’s Executive Assistant has really been supporting my efforts to get it all done these past months and I am so grateful for her—she is the reason I have sat this long determined to get this Letter written. And a friend called to wake me up this morning so that I would not miss my early appointment, and I am so grateful. Do you have someone in your life who is there to help you meet your goals? To support you in good times and bad? To tell you the TRUTH in all things and remind you, in the subtle and obvious ways, that you matter? Well, I want to tell you right now, right at this moment, that YOU MATTER!! If you are reading this letter, you matter to me—even if we’ve never met or we’ve never had the opportunity to share a cup of coffee or laugh at a shared joke, you matter to me. If you happen to pick up this newsletter while visiting a friend or happened to access it through Horizon’s website by chance—by Google—trust when I tell you that you matter to me. Why? Because we are all connected in an amazing way and there are no coincidences. If you are reading this...right now…at this moment—I have been convicted to tell you the truth about yourself---YOU MATTER!
Let us all commit to taking time, throughout the year and not just during this Holiday Season, to express our gratitude for ALL things. Let us say thank you when the door is held, when the drinks are delivered, when we find what we seek, when we receive that for which we’ve asked, when the door is opened after our knock. Even in the midst of sadness, grief, loss, pain—as those days and moments will come—let us remember to give thanks in ALL things—even in those moments. Hard I know, but doable. This week has been a challenging one as I’ve experienced some of these feelings in abundance---yet, I am thankful for the ability to share love in these moments—to stand firmly on the promises that this too shall pass…and thankful for the freedom to have these feelings and allowing them to have their way.
This season comes to remind us of the POWER we’ve been given to create an abundant life, the PASSION we have to love completely and the PURPOSE we have to live fully. May you move freely and abundantly in the Power, Passion and Purpose of your life…this Christmas Season and throughout the New Year!!

Sincerely and with an unwavering love and gratitude for you,

Wanda Alexis Alexander
